Conjuring First Communion Trailer and Every Conjuring Trailer

No Conjuring First Communion trailer has been reported so far. Variety's Australian edition reported on July 15, 2026 that the prequel is set for release on September 10, 2027 from Warner Bros. and New Line, and TheWrap reported on July 29, 2026 that the date still stands while more cast joined. Both reports give a date, a cast and a crew, but neither mentions any footage, so there is nothing official to watch yet.

The film is called The Conjuring: First Communion, and Variety calls it a prequel. Rodrigue Huart is reported to direct from a script by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, with Peter Safran reported as producer. Garrett Wareing is reported to play the young Ed Warren and Amanda Fix the young Lorraine Warren, the paranormal investigators whose claimed cases the whole series dramatizes. TheWrap also reported that Matthias Schweighöfer, Charles Parnell, Marta Kessler and Caleb Dolden have joined, though their characters have not been named. For the cast, the date and the status as they develop, see conjuring first communion.

When will the trailer arrive? No studio has announced a trailer date, and the release date is the only firm schedule point. Warner Bros. dated the film for September 10, 2027, and no UK or Australian date has been reported. Filming was reported as underway in late July 2026, which makes a first teaser plausible at some point before release, though that is my guess and not a reported plan.

What should a First Communion trailer actually do? In my opinion, it has a harder job than any trailer in the series. The first Conjuring (2013), directed by James Wan, sold itself on Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, and The Conjuring 2 (2016) opened with Lorraine's vision of a demonic nun and of Ed being impaled during the Amityville séance. Those faces and that image did the marketing. A prequel with Wareing and Fix has to make an audience accept new actors as the Warrens before it can scare them, and the closest precedent in the saga is Annabelle: Creation (2017), directed by David F. Sandberg, which built dread around a house and a locked bedroom and not around a star.

It could be argued that the smartest approach is the one the series used for The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025). That film is the most recent entry, it opened in the US on September 5, 2025, and it cuts between 1964, when Lorraine's baby Judy is born in grave danger and a cursed antique mirror enters the story, and 1986, when the Smurl family in West Pittston, Pennsylvania receives that mirror as a gift. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga lead, with Mia Tomlinson as the grown Judy. Naming a haunting and a date in the marketing gives the audience a clear promise, and a prequel can borrow that structure. The Warrens always framed these cases as real, and the films report their claims as claims, so a trailer is best read as a sales pitch for a story and never as evidence of anything.

Why are there no other trailers to point to? The series runs to four main films and six spinoffs, ten in total, and every one of them has a trailer that a studio released at the time. Search results for the First Communion title also include fan-made concepts, which carry no studio backing. A fan-made video is not a release.

If you want to prepare for the new film, the better use of your time is the films themselves.
