The film premiered as the opening night film at SXSW in Austin in March 2018, reached US theaters on April 6, 2018 and runs 91 minutes. Production shot in Pawling, New Paltz and Little Falls, New York, planted 24 acres of corn and filmed on 35mm. It earned about $341 million worldwide on a $17 million budget.

A Quiet Place Part II (2021), also directed by Krasinski, opens on the first day of the invasion at a small town baseball game, when the sky lights up with a falling object and armored, blind creatures begin to attack. The story then jumps ahead to the Abbott family, with Evelyn, Regan, Marcus and a newborn baby leaving their wrecked farm to look for other survivors. Marcus is hurt in a trap, and the group shelters in an old steel foundry, where they meet Emmett, a neighbor who lost his own family, played by Cillian Murphy. Djimon Hounsou, Scoot McNairy and Okieriete Onaodowan appear in smaller roles. The film runs 97 minutes, cost $61 million and grossed about $298 million worldwide.

A Quiet Place Day One (2024), directed by Michael Sarnoski, is the spin-off and swaps the farm for Manhattan. Sam, played by Lupita Nyong'o and credited as Samira, is a terminally ill cancer patient in a hospice just outside New York City with her service cat, Frodo. A nurse named Reuben, played by Alex Wolff, persuades her to join a group trip into the city to see a marionette show, and the creatures crash in while they are there. Joseph Quinn plays Eric and Djimon Hounsou plays Henri. Two cats played Frodo, and Sarnoski has said there was no CG cat. The production built sets at Leavesden in England, redressed a Chinatown street as Harlem and used just over 400 VFX shots from ILM. The film runs 100 minutes, cost $67 million and grossed about $262 million worldwide.

Yes, A Quiet Place Part III is in production, and Paramount Pictures is releasing it in the US on July 30, 2027, a date John Krasinski gave to TheWrap in March 2026. The date has moved once: Variety Australia reported in August 2025 that the film was set for July 9, 2027, and Deadline later reported that it had moved later in July, to July 30.

Krasinski announced on Instagram in August 2025 that he was returning to write, direct and produce, with Sunday Night Productions and Platinum Dunes behind the film and Allyson Seeger also credited as a producer. Principal photography began in May 2026 in New York City's Chinatown, again announced by Krasinski on Instagram. TheWrap, in a March 2026 report on the casting, quoted Krasinski giving the July 30, 2027 date.

The reported cast includes Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott, Cillian Murphy as Emmett, Millicent Simmonds as Regan Abbott and Noah Jupe as Marcus Abbott. Jack O'Connell, Jason Clarke and Katy O'Brian are also reported to have joined, and their roles have not been reported. No UK or Australian date has been published, and Box Office Mojo lists only an earliest international date of July 28, 2027 for Asia Pacific and Europe, the Middle East and Africa. No trade report has confirmed that filming has finished, so the status stays at in production.
