Ocean's Eleven Prequel Trailer: Has Warner Bros. Released One?

Warner Bros. has not confirmed an official trailer for the Ocean's Eleven prequel. The film is untitled, in production and dated for US theaters on June 25, 2027, a date the studio announced at CinemaCon on April 14, 2026 and Variety Australia reported the next day. Because no trailer exists yet, the videos that rank for the search are set footage and news coverage, and the difference matters if you want to watch only what is official.

No official Ocean's Eleven prequel trailer has been confirmed as of November 3, 2026, and no trailer date has been announced. The film was still shooting in autumn 2026. Monaco Life reported filming scheduled for August 24 to 28 at Darse Sud and the Esplanade des Pecheurs in Monaco, with work also planned in Nice and a wider Riviera shoot expected to continue into October. Motorsport.com reported that Cooper was filming 1962 Monaco Grand Prix scenes in Monaco, and a Monaco government order cleared the waterfront for what it called a 'superproduction' without naming the film. Monaco Life tied that order to this production through matching casting call dates, so the link is reported rather than confirmed by the studio.

The prequel is reported to follow Danny Ocean's parents through a heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix, with Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper playing them. Monaco Life reports that Robbie confirmed the plot, but no character names have been confirmed for any cast member. According to Variety Australia on March 14, 2026, Cooper is reported to write and direct and is in talks to star opposite Robbie, after Lee Isaac Chung exited. LuckyChap is producing for Warner Bros., and Carrie Solomon is reported as a writer.

Monaco Life's July 31 report added Wagner Moura, Monica Barbaro and Josh Gad to the reported cast. It also said Moura is playing the principal villain, a claim the outlet did not back with studio confirmation. The full status, dates and rumor table sit on the Ocean's Eleven prequel page.

No, Ocean's Eleven (2001) is not a prequel; it is Steven Soderbergh's first Ocean's film and a remake of the 1960 original directed by Lewis Milestone. The release order runs like this:

• Ocean's Eleven (1960): Danny Ocean and Jimmy Foster, Second World War veterans, plan to rob five Las Vegas casinos on New Year's Eve. See Ocean's Eleven (1960).
• Ocean's Eleven (2001): Danny is paroled and targets a vault shared by three casinos on the night of a big boxing match. See Ocean's Eleven (2001).
• Ocean's Twelve (2004): Terry Benedict demands his money back with interest, and the crew works Europe while a rival thief known as the Night Fox stays a step ahead. See Ocean's Twelve.
• Ocean's Thirteen (2007): the crew sets out to wreck Willy Bank's casino opening in revenge for what he did to Reuben Tishkoff. See Ocean's Thirteen.
• Ocean's Eight (2018): Debbie Ocean, sister of the late Danny, plans a Met Gala necklace theft, in a spinoff directed by Gary Ross. See Ocean's Eight.

If the reports hold, the prequel reaches further back into the Ocean family than any earlier film. For the full sequence, use the Ocean's Eleven movies in order guide.

Nothing official exists, but the series' history shows that each Ocean's film is sold on one place and one night, and in my opinion the Monaco shoot points the same way. The 1960 film is built around five named casinos (the Sahara, Riviera, Desert Inn, Sands and Flamingo) hit at the same moment on New Year's Eve, with Saul Bass titles and a Nelson Riddle score, according to TCM and Wikipedia. The 2001 film narrowed that to one vault and one boxing match night, and Film Threat reports its official trailer went online in October 2001, ahead of the December 7, 2001 US release. Ocean's Twelve moved the crew to Europe, with its Night Fox rivalry and a Europol detective, according to Wikipedia and Screen Daily. Ocean's Thirteen went back to Las Vegas, and the Cannes festival presented it Out of Competition, with a screening on May 24, 2007.

Ocean's Eight is the closest comparison for production detail. Screen Global Production reported an overnight shoot at the Met, and the Motion Picture Association described the Temple of Dendur dinner and a mirrored Versailles-style set as centerpieces of the design. Warner Bros. dated that film for June 8, 2018, as TheWrap reported, so a June 25, 2027 date for the prequel follows the same early summer slot. Against that record, a prequel marketed on the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix, with Darse Sud and the Esplanade des Pecheurs as its stages, would be the first Ocean's film since the 1960 original to put a period setting at the center. That reading is opinion: no studio material has confirmed what a trailer would show.

There are no verified official trailers for the five existing Ocean's films on Cinvibe yet. Cinvibe lists a trailer only when it comes from the official studio YouTube channel and has been verified, so the trailer slots for the released films are empty for now. Film Threat reported that the official Ocean's Eleven (2001) trailer went online in October 2001, but no official YouTube upload has been confirmed. The same gap applies to Ocean's Twelve, Ocean's Thirteen, the 1960 film and Ocean's Eight, which matters if you are searching for an Ocean's Eight trailer or an Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen trilogy trailer as a single upload. No trailer exists for Ocean's 14 or for a 25th anniversary re-release of Ocean's Eleven (2001). Ocean's 14 is an unconfirmed working report and not a title, and it remains a rumor rather than an announced film. TheWrap reported on January 22, 2025 that David Leitch was in talks to direct, with George Clooney and Brad Pitt expected to return, citing an insider and crediting The InSneider with the first report. On November 10, 2025, TheWrap reported Andy Garcia saying he would return as Terry Benedict, with Leitch listed as attached and filming eyed for 2026. Warner Bros. had no comment, and the timeline is unofficial.

Separately, Ocean's Eleven (2001) reaches its 25th anniversary on December 7, 2026, but no re-release or anniversary trailer has been confirmed.
