Man of Tomorrow Trailer: Is There One Yet and When Will It Arrive?

No official trailer for Man of Tomorrow has been confirmed as of November 3, 2026, and Warner Bros. Pictures has not announced a date for a teaser. The film itself is dated for US theaters on July 9, 2027, a date James Gunn gave when he announced the title on September 3, 2025 (reported by ABC News), and it has not changed since. That leaves roughly eight months before opening day. DC Studios, led by Gunn and Peter Safran, is behind the film, and Cinvibe adds an official Man of Tomorrow video, with its YouTube ID, on the day DC Studios publishes it; follow Superman movies for updates.

No release date exists yet for a Man of Tomorrow teaser, because neither James Gunn nor Warner Bros. Pictures has announced one. Searches for a 2027 preview are really asking about the film's calendar: the movie opens in 2027, so any first look must arrive somewhere between now and July 9, 2027, which describes a window rather than a date. The clearest clue is the production schedule: Gunn confirmed on October 5, 2026 that the assembly cut was complete, and the shoot wrapped in August 2026. Promotional videos are typically cut from footage the film already has, so, in my opinion, the footage needed for a first look now exists.

Man of Tomorrow is in post production, with principal photography finished. James Gunn announced that filming began on April 20, 2026 (Variety reported it on April 21), and Variety reported on August 27, 2026 that he had announced the shoot was complete. TheWrap had reported in March 2026 that production would start in the spring in Atlanta. The assembly cut, which is the first full version of a film stitched together from the shoot, was confirmed complete on October 5, 2026. For comparison, Superman (2025) finished its shoot in July 2024 and opened on July 11, 2025, about a year later, while Man of Tomorrow will open just under a year after its August 2026 wrap.

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios have not released an official plot synopsis for Man of Tomorrow. What is confirmed is the cast, crew and release date. The most useful story clue is casting: Lars Eidinger is confirmed as Brainiac, a Superman villain from the comics, in an announcement from James Gunn reported by TheWrap on December 20, 2025. Nicholas Hoult is reported to return as Lex Luthor, so a first look would likely show both antagonists. For more on the people involved, see the Superman cast and Superman characters pages.

Yes, Man of Tomorrow is the follow up to Superman (2025), and James Gunn directed both films. Variety describes it as the sequel to Superman (2025). Some trade headlines use the longer name Superman: Man of Tomorrow, which is why some people search for the film under that name. Superman (2025) was originally titled Superman: Legacy, according to Variety. It grossed about $619 million worldwide on a $225 million budget, according to Box Office Mojo, so the sequel arrives with a proven audience behind it. David Corenswet also appears as Superman in Supergirl (2026), directed by Craig Gillespie, which opened on June 26, 2026 after DC Studios announced its date in May 2024.

Lars Eidinger as Brainiac is the only Man of Tomorrow cast member James Gunn has formally announced in the sources here; David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, Rachel Brosnahan and others are reported by Variety and TheWrap. Variety reported on August 27, 2026 that Corenswet (Superman), Hoult (Lex Luthor), Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific) and Milly Alcock (Kara Zor-El, the character known as Supergirl) are in the film. TheWrap separately reported Aaron Pierre as John Stewart in March 2026 and Xolo Maridueña as Jaime Reyes, also known as Blue Beetle, in July 2026.

One piece of casting talk is a rumor. TheWrap reported on April 14, 2026 that Adria Arjona had joined the film, and that she was playing Maxima. James Gunn said he was absolutely not confirming that, and DC Studios had no comment, so the role remains unconfirmed.

No leak of Man of Tomorrow footage has been confirmed by Warner Bros. Pictures or DC Studios, and a video described as leaked is not an official release. Cinvibe lists only videos from the official YouTube channel of Warner Bros. Pictures or DC Studios, so a leak would never appear in the trailers section. If you see a clip claiming to be the Man of Tomorrow official trailer on any other account, treat it as unverified until Warner Bros. Pictures or DC Studios posts it. When the real video arrives, the Man of Tomorrow page will carry the release status, cast and any date changes alongside it.
