Who plays Buck in Ice Age? Simon Pegg, the actor behind the one eyed weasel who first turns up in ice age dawn of the dinosaurs. He returns in Ice Age: Collision Course and leads The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022), the Disney+ spinoff directed by John Donkin that carries his name in its title. Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah and Simon Pegg are all confirmed by Disney to return for Ice Age: Boiling Point, which is scheduled for February 5, 2027. Disney+ reported the casting on August 26, 2026, which makes the next film a reunion of the theatrical voices rather than a fresh cast. The pattern across the saga is a stable core with a rotating supporting bench. Ellie, Crash and Eddie first appear in The Meltdown and Buck in Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and Ellie and Buck are among those confirmed for Boiling Point. In my opinion, that continuity is the franchise's quiet strength. It could be argued that the main trio sounding the same for more than a decade is what lets a parent and a grown child both recognize the herd on sight. That being said, the Buck Wild recast shows how much of Manny, Sid and Diego lives in Romano's, Leguizamo's and Leary's delivery.
