Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse: Release Date, Cast and Status
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is set for release in US theaters on June 18, 2027, and the film is still in production. The Hollywood Reporter reported the date, which falls on Father's Day weekend. It is the third animated Miles Morales film after Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and Across the Spider-Verse (2023), and UK and Australian dates have not been announced.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Status: Is It Ever Coming Out?
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is in production, and Sony holds a confirmed US release date of June 18, 2027. It is the third film in the animated Miles Morales saga, following Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), directed by Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson and Joaquim Dos Santos.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is on track for June 18, 2027, and the date has stayed inside June 2027 since March 2025. Sony moved it one week earlier on September 25, 2025, and TheWrap reported on April 13, 2026 that the studio showed new footage at CinemaCon 2026 while the film was still described as in production.
Searches for 'Beyond the Spider-Verse 2' and 'Spider-Verse 3' refer to this same film, the third in the animated series, so there is no separate part two. If you are after the live action film with Tom Holland, that is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, released in US theaters on July 31, 2026. The full list of films sits on the Spider-Man movies hub.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Cast: Who Is Reported to Return
Every name attached to Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is reported rather than confirmed, because Sony has not released an official cast list. The fullest account comes from TheWrap's April 13, 2026 CinemaCon report, which lists seven voice actors returning: Shameik Moore as Miles Morales/Spider-Man, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man, Jason Schwartzman as The Spot, Daniel Kaluuya as Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk, Karan Soni as Pavitr Prabhakar/Spider-Man India and Mahershala Ali as Uncle Aaron.
The filmmakers follow the same pattern. TMDB credits Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson as directors, and Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Callaham as writers. Daniel Pemberton, who scored the first two films, is listed as composer, and the producers named are Lord, Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Jinko Gotoh. Those credits stay in reported status until Sony publishes its own.
One voice from Across the Spider-Verse is absent from the seven: Oscar Isaac, who played Miguel O'Hara, does not appear in that report. To trace the roles, read the profiles of Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy and Miguel O'Hara, or the wider Spider-Verse characters guide. The franchise-wide Spider-Man cast and crew page covers every film.

Beyond the Spider-Verse Rumors and Reports: What Is Unconfirmed
Everything about Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse beyond the June 18, 2027 date and in-production status is reported, not confirmed. The seven returning voice actors carry a reported status, sourced to TheWrap, and the crew credits carry the same status, sourced to TMDB.
The only other loose item is an Australian listing of June 17, 2027 that appeared on an aggregator. No studio or trade outlet backs it, so it remains unverified, and no UK or Australian date has been announced.
What We Know So Far About Beyond the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has a confirmed US release date of June 18, 2027 and an in-production status, while its cast and crew are reported only. The creative line runs straight from Across the Spider-Verse.
The date is the most reliable fact, because a trade outlet reported the latest move and the film has held a June 2027 date since March 2025, even though that date was set three times (June 4, June 25 and June 18). A studio date for an animated film is a target, though, and this one was first dated March 2024 (set in April 2022) before it was removed from the schedule in July 2023, so some caution is sensible until a UK and Australian date appears.
On the page to screen side, the reported return of Jason Schwartzman as The Spot is the one I would watch. Across set him up as a scientist turned villain who can move between universes, which makes him the clearest bridge into a third film. The reported places for Karan Soni and Daniel Kaluuya, as Pavitr Prabhakar and Hobie Brown, are the more interesting signal, since the wider ensemble of Spider-people is not shrinking.
If you are catching up first, start with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and then Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the latter a 140 minute film that grossed about $691 million worldwide on a $150 million budget according to Box Office Mojo. For the full order, use Spider-Man movies in order.
