Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Trailer: Status and Footage

No official public trailer for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been reported; the only footage is the CinemaCon 2026 showing that TheWrap described on April 13, 2026. An official trailer is one uploaded by Sony Pictures to its own channel. Search results for this film are crowded with fan concepts, leaked clips and short form edits, and those are fan content, not studio releases. If a video does not come from Sony Pictures, it is a guess about what the film might look like.

That distinction matters more than usual here, because Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is still in production, according to TheWrap. A fan edit can borrow shots from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) and still look convincing, which is exactly why the uploader matters more than the thumbnail.

At CinemaCon 2026, Sony showed new Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse footage, which TheWrap described on April 13, 2026. The film is still listed for June 18, 2027, and the same report names the returning voice cast: Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy (Spider-Gwen), Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Jason Schwartzman as The Spot, Daniel Kaluuya as Hobie Brown (Spider-Punk), Karan Soni as Pavitr Prabhakar and Mahershala Ali as Uncle Aaron. These castings are reported by TheWrap and are not a studio cast announcement. For the full status, see the Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse page.

No reason has been given for the delays to Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (also called Spider-Verse 3) in the sources reviewed, and the film's date has moved five times. According to Wikipedia and TheWrap, the film was first dated March 29, 2024, a date set in April 2022. That date was removed in July 2023. Sony then set June 4, 2027 on March 31, 2025 and moved to June 25, 2027 on July 18, 2025. According to Wikipedia, the final move, one week earlier to June 18, 2027, came on September 25, 2025, which lands on Father's Day weekend in the US.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, reached theaters on December 14, 2018. Its sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), directed by Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson and Joaquim Dos Santos, followed on June 2, 2023.

No, Tom Holland is not in the reported cast of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Holland plays Peter Parker in the live action Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026), directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, which opened in the US on July 31, 2026. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse belongs to the animated Spider-Verse line, where Moore, Steinfeld and Johnson voice the leads.

TMDB lists Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson as directors, with Daniel Pemberton credited as composer.

The upcoming Spider-Man movie is Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, dated for June 18, 2027 in the US. No UK or Australian dates have been confirmed, so those remain open.

Sony pulled the teaser trailer and poster for Spider-Man (2002), directed by Sam Raimi, after the September 11 attacks, according to Salon, and said the scene in question was never meant to be in the film. For The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), directed by Marc Webb, Sony debuted the trailer through coordinated fan events in 13 cities worldwide, according to a Sony release carried by PR Newswire.
