Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 each sit on different services in the US, UK and Australia, so the quickest route is to pick the film and then the country. Streaming deals rotate, so availability can change at short notice, and a listing confirmed on November 3, 2026 is worth checking on the service itself before you settle in with the popcorn.
Sonic Movies Streaming: Subscription Options by Country
| Film | United States | United Kingdom | Australia |
|---|
| Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) | Paramount+ (Premium and Essential), Philo, Paramount+ through Amazon and Roku channels. Free on Kanopy, and free with ads on YouTube | Paramount+ (including Basic with Ads), Paramount+ through the Amazon Channel | Paramount+, BINGE, Stan, Foxtel Now, Paramount+ through the Amazon Channel |
| Sonic the Hedgehog 2 | Netflix (including Standard with Ads), Paramount+, Philo, Paramount+ through Amazon and Roku channels | Paramount+ through the Amazon Channel | None, rent or buy only |
| Sonic the Hedgehog 3 | Amazon Prime Video (including with ads), Paramount+, fuboTV, MGM+, Philo | Netflix (including Standard with Ads), Now TV Cinema, Paramount+ through the Amazon Channel | Netflix (including Standard with Ads) |
If you want all three films on one subscription in the US, both Paramount+ and Philo carry each of them right now. That is a handy fact for a family movie marathon, since it avoids hopping between apps halfway through the evening.
Where Can You Watch Sonic 1, 2 and 3 in the US?
In the US, Paramount+ carries Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, in its Premium and Essential tiers and through the Amazon and Roku channels. Philo also carries all three. Beyond that, each film has its own extras: the 2020 film is free on Kanopy and free with ads on YouTube, the sequel is on Netflix, and the third film is on Amazon Prime Video and fuboTV.

Is Sonic Available on Netflix?
Partly: Netflix carries Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in the US and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in the UK and Australia. Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) is not on Netflix in any of the three countries, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is not on Netflix in the UK or Australia. So, if you are asking whether Sonic is streaming on anything in your country, the honest answer changes with the film, because Netflix, Paramount+ and Amazon Prime Video each hold different movies. Hulu and Disney+ do not carry any of the three.
Where to Watch Sonic in Australia
Australia has the widest choice for the first film and the narrowest for the second. Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) streams on Paramount+, BINGE, Stan and Foxtel Now. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has no subscription streaming option in Australia, so it is rent or buy only through JustWatch TV Store, Apple TV Store, Amazon Video and YouTube (Fetch TV also carries the first film for rent or purchase). Sonic the Hedgehog 3 streams on Netflix.
Where to Watch Sonic in the UK
In the UK, Paramount+ is the home of Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), including the Basic with Ads tier. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 appears only through the Paramount+ Amazon Channel for subscribers, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is on Netflix and Now TV Cinema as well as that channel. Rental and purchase options in the UK include Apple TV Store, Rakuten TV, Amazon Video and Sky Store for all three films.
Can You Rent or Buy the Sonic Movies?
Yes, all three films can be rented or bought digitally in the US, UK and Australia. In the US, the stores include Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Google Play Movies and Fandango At Home, with YouTube added for the second and third films and Plex also offering rentals. The UK and Australia lean on Apple TV Store, Amazon Video and YouTube, with Rakuten TV and Sky Store added in the UK. A rental is the simplest fix when a film has no streaming home in your country, such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in Australia.
What About Sonic X and Sonic Prime?
Sonic X and Sonic Prime are separate titles from the three theatrical films, so their streaming homes differ from the services that carry the films. If you are hunting for either one, search for it by name on your service rather than expecting it next to the movies.
Is Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Streaming Yet?
No, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has not been released, so it has no streaming date. Paramount set its US theatrical release for March 19, 2027, and the film is in post production. Release details are on the sonic 4 page, and the sonic 4 trailer page tracks official footage.
Which Sonic Movie Should You Stream First?
In my opinion, the best starting point is whichever film your own service carries for free, since all three are rated PG in the US, UK and Australia and each one stands up as a family night in. That being said, if you want the full arc with Tails, Knuckles and Shadow, start with Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) and work forward. For the cast behind each character, see sonic cast, or head back to the sonic movies hub.
