Emmett in A Quiet Place: Who He Is and Who Plays Him

In my opinion, Emmett's best scenes are the ones where a creature rule does the storytelling. His rescue of Regan after she leaves the foundry alone is the other standout, because it is the moment the film commits him to the journey. It could be argued that this pairing gives Part II its own shape.

Perhaps the best compliment to pay the character is that he works without a monologue or a backstory dump. His loss is stated plainly, his stubbornness is believable, and the scares around him land because the rules are clear.
