Ice Age Merchandise: Toys, Plush, Clothing and Collectibles

Ice Age merchandise is any licensed product based on the animated films about Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the ground sloth and Diego the sabertooth. The saga runs to five theatrical films: Ice Age (2002), Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and Ice Age: Collision Course (2016). The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022) is a spin-off made for Disney+. You can see how they connect in our guide to Ice Age movies and in the Ice Age movies in order list.

The easiest way to be sure a product comes from the films is to look for a character name or a film title, such as Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, in the product description. Disney released The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild on Disney+ on January 28, 2022, and the Ice Age: Boiling Point date and title were announced at Destination D23, so those are the newest films a product might be tied to.

A good rule is to match the product to the film it comes from. Shangri Llama, for example, belongs to Ice Age: Collision Course, and Buck first joins the herd in Dawn of the Dinosaurs, so a plush or figure of either points to a later film rather than the 2002 original. If you are not sure where a character first appears, our Ice Age characters page sorts it out.

The easiest way to sort Ice Age merchandise is by who the gift is for: toddlers, kids, adults and collectors each need something different. The suggestions below are general buying guidance rather than a list of specific products.

For toddlers, soft plush is the sensible start, and the characters are easy for small children to recognize: Manny, Sid and Scrat have simple, bold shapes. Check the label for an age mark and any small parts. Ratings help with the films themselves: the five theatrical films carry a PG in the US and a U in the UK, and the 2002 film and Ice Age: Collision Course are rated G in Australia. Use the official rating rather than a guess when you pick a film to go with the toy.

For kids who like dinosaurs, two films stand out. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs gave the saga its baby Tyrannosaurs and a hidden world under the ice, and The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild sends Crash and Eddie into a Lost World full of dinosaurs, where Buck rescues them. Check the box for the film title, so you know what you are holding. Pieces based on Diego and Ellie round out a herd.

Plush covers the widest range, from the herd to Scrat. Collectors who care about a particular era can follow the voice cast: Simon Pegg has voiced Buck since the third film, as ABC7 Chicago reported, while most other voices changed for Buck Wild. Peaches, Shira and Granny appear in the cast of Continental Drift, and Crash and Eddie are already in The Meltdown. Our Ice Age animals guide shows the species behind each one.

Adults who grew up with the 2002 film can pair a clothing, mug or print purchase with a rewatch. Film music fans can start at the Ice Age soundtrack page, and anyone planning that rewatch can check where to watch Ice Age.

Ice Age: Boiling Point is set for a US theatrical release on February 5, 2027, according to TheWrap. Any official items would be announced by the studio, so the Ice Age Boiling Point page and the Ice Age Boiling Point trailer page are the places to watch for news.
