Where to Watch Batman: Every Film by Country

Batman movies are spread across HBO Max, Netflix, Prime Video, Stan and the digital stores, and the service you need depends on whether you are in the US, the UK or Australia. HBO Max is the one name that appears in all three markets, which makes it the simplest starting point. Below, each country gets its own section, followed by the Netflix and free viewing questions.

In the US, HBO Max streams Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, The Lego Batman Movie and The Batman (2022) on a subscription. Several of those titles also arrive through the HBO Max Amazon Channel, and the four films from Batman (1989) to Batman & Robin are carried by the Cinemax channels on Amazon and Apple TV. The Dark Knight trilogy is also on YouTube TV, and The Batman (2022) additionally runs on the TNT, TBS and tru TV channels.

Batman (1966), directed by Leslie H. Martinson, is the exception. Its only US subscription listing is YouTube TV, so most viewers will rent or buy it from Amazon Video, Apple TV, Google Play Movies, YouTube or Fandango At Home. Netflix does not carry a Batman film in the US.

In the UK, the Warner Bros. films sit on HBO Max, Sky Go and Now TV Cinema, with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video taking the Christopher Nolan trilogy. Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin stream on HBO Max, Sky Go and Now TV Cinema. Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max and Now TV Cinema. The Lego Batman Movie streams on Prime Video, HBO Max and Now TV Cinema, while The Batman (2022) is on HBO Max and Now TV Cinema.

Batman (1966) and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm have no UK subscription listing. Both can be rented or bought from Apple TV, Rakuten TV, Amazon Video and Sky Store, and Batman (1966) is also on YouTube.

In Australia, HBO Max streams most of the live action films, and Stan covers the Nolan trilogy and The Lego Batman Movie. Batman (1989) through Batman & Robin and The Batman (2022) are on HBO Max. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises are on Stan and HBO Max, and The Dark Knight adds Foxtel Now to that pair. The Lego Batman Movie is the odd one out, because it streams on Prime Video and Stan rather than HBO Max.

Batman (1966) is a buy only title on Apple TV, Amazon Video and YouTube, and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm can be rented or bought on those three plus Fetch TV.

No Batman film is on Netflix in the US, but the UK and Australia each have some. In the UK, Netflix streams Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, along with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In Australia, Netflix has only Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. So, if you are hoping to watch the Nolan trilogy on Netflix, it works in the UK and nowhere else here, and it is worth checking your region before you sign up.

HBO Max is a paid subscription, so none of its Batman films are free. The one free listing is Batman: Mask of the Phantasm on YouTube Free in the US, which comes with ads. Everything else outside a subscription is a rental or a purchase, and Apple TV, Amazon Video and YouTube carry the widest range in every country.

The four appearance films follow the same pattern. In the US, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League and Zack Snyder's Justice League all stream on HBO Max, and The Flash streams there too. Zack Snyder's Justice League is on HBO Max in the UK and Australia as well. The Flash has no UK subscription listing, but in Australia it streams on Foxtel Now and Stan.

The Batman Part II has no streaming listing because it has not been released. TheWrap reports a US release date of February 18, 2028, after a production pause announced on October 5, 2026.
