New Predator Movie Trailer: Predator: Badlands and Every Film

The new Predator movie trailer to watch is the one for Predator: Badlands, directed by Dan Trachtenberg and released by 20th Century Studios in the US and UK on November 7, 2025 (Australia opened a day earlier, on November 6). Disney's UK press site published a new trailer with stills ahead of release.

What is the film about? Dek, played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, is a young Yautja and the runt of his clan, and his father casts him out. He lands on Genna, a deadly planet, hoping to earn his place by killing the Kalisk, a creature no hunter has beaten. There he meets Thia, a damaged synthetic made by the Weyland-Yutani corporation and played by Elle Fanning, who agrees to help him.

In my opinion, the Badlands trailer is the best place to start, because it is the first in the saga to put a Yautja at the center instead of the humans being hunted. That is a real change from Predator (1987), where the creature stays a threat in the trees. The studio also trusted the idea, since Badlands opened to a franchise record $40 million in the US and $80 million worldwide, according to News4Jax, on a $105 million budget.

The older trailers are worth a look for how the creature has changed. Producer John Davis has said the original creature needed to be taller, and a taller suit performer, Kevin Peter Hall, took over after Jean-Claude Van Damme left the production. Compare that with the Prey (2022) trailer, where Dane DiLiegro stood 6 ft 9 as the Predator and the film leaned on natural light and torchlight. It could be argued that Trachtenberg has been steadily moving the series away from soldiers with big guns and toward the hunter's own point of view.

Yes, Predator: Killer of Killers has an official trailer, and the studio's own film page lists it. Trachtenberg directed this animated anthology, which 20th Century Studios released on Hulu on June 6, 2025, with a runtime of 85 minutes. It opens in the year 841 with the Viking warrior Ursa on a revenge raid, before a Predator ambushes her group with a sonic weapon. It streams on Hulu in the US and on Disney Plus in the UK and Australia.

Prey (2022), also directed by Trachtenberg, debuted on Hulu on August 5, 2022. It is set in 1719 on the Great Plains and follows the young Comanche healer Naru, played by Amber Midthunder, and it streams on Hulu in the US and on Disney Plus in the UK and Australia. The older films, Predator (1987) directed by John McTiernan, Predator 2 (1990), Predators (2010) and The Predator (2018), each have their own page with cast, release dates and streaming. The two crossovers, AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007), are covered under Alien vs Predator. Official studio uploads are the safest place to watch any of them, since reposts tend to vanish.

Not yet, because no Predator film after Badlands has a title, a cast or a release date. ComicBook.com reported on February 12, 2026 that Trachtenberg was still working out next steps, and that Prey 2, an Alien crossover, a Killer of Killers follow up and a return for Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dutch were all unconfirmed. In an interview published on November 7, 2025, Trachtenberg told Gizmodo he has "a pretty good idea of where things could go", which is a comment and not an announcement. Gizmodo then reported on September 28, 2026 that he is taking a break from the series to direct an untitled project inspired by Sleeping Beauty for Disney. Until a studio confirms a project, the new Predator movie stays in development with no date, and a first trailer would follow only after that.
