Predator Characters: Who They Are, Film by Film

The main Predator characters are one lead human or Yautja per film, and this guide follows release order with the actor and a one line description for each. Plot endings are left out on purpose, so you can read it as a cast guide before you watch. For the creature itself, see the predator creature profile and the wider yautja page, and for the order the films arrive in, see predator movies in order.

The characters in Predator (1987) are Major Alan 'Dutch' Schaefer, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and his team of mercenary soldiers, hunted by a creature credited as The Predator. Predator 1987, directed by John McTiernan, sends them into a Central American jungle, and dutch predator has his full profile. His old friend Al Dillon (Carl Weathers), now working with the CIA, briefs the team on a mission to rescue a government minister. The team itself is Mac Eliot (Bill Duke), Blain Cooper (Jesse Ventura), Billy Sole (Sonny Landham), Jorge 'Poncho' Ramirez (Richard Chaves) and Rick Hawkins (Shane Black, who later directed the predator 2018). Anna Gonsalves (Elpidia Carrillo) is the guerrilla woman the team takes prisoner, and R.G. Armstrong plays Major General Homer Phillips. The hunter is played by Kevin Peter Hall, with Peter Cullen as the uncredited voice.

The lead of Predator 2 is Lieutenant Mike Harrigan, played by Danny Glover, a headstrong cop who ignores orders. Predator 2, directed by Stephen Hopkins, drops the creature into a Los Angeles heat wave in 1997, in the middle of a war between Colombian and Jamaican drug gangs, and harrigan predator 2 covers him in full. His squad includes detectives Leona Cantrell (María Conchita Alonso), Danny Archuleta (Rubén Blades) and Jerry Lambert (Bill Paxton). Special Agent Peter Keyes (Gary Busey) leads a federal task force that shuts Harrigan out of the scene, Robert Davi plays Captain Phil Heinemann, and King Willie (Calvin Lockhart) is the Jamaican gang leader. Kevin Peter Hall returns as The Predator, and Elpidia Carrillo appears again as Anna.

The two crossover spinoffs follow human survivors caught between a Predator and the Xenomorphs, and their pages live in the alien vs predator folder. Alien vs predator 2004, directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, centers on Alexa Woods (Sanaa Lathan), an experienced guide, and Charles Bishop Weyland (Lance Henriksen), the terminally ill billionaire who funds the expedition to Bouvet Island. Sebastian de Rosa (Raoul Bova) is the Italian archaeologist on the team, and Scar (Ian Whyte) is the named Predator. Her profile is at alexa woods avp.

Avp requiem, directed by Colin and Greg Strause, moves to the small town of Gunnison, Colorado. Its human leads are ex-convict Dallas Howard (Steven Pasquale), his brother Ricky (Johnny Lewis), soldier Kelly O'Brien (Reiko Aylesworth), her daughter Molly (Ariel Gade) and Sheriff Eddie Morales (John Ortiz). Ian Whyte plays the veteran Predator who arrives to clean up the mess, and Tom Woodruff Jr. plays the Alien.

The lead of Predators (2010) is Royce, a hardened mercenary played by Adrien Brody. Predators 2010, directed by Nimród Antal, gathers eight killers on a hunting planet, and the royce predators page explains how he fits the series. Around him are Isabelle (Alice Braga), Edwin (Topher Grace), Stans (Walton Goggins), Nikolai (Oleg Taktarov), Cuchillo (Danny Trejo), Hanzo (Louis Ozawa) and Mombasa (Mahershala Ali). The lead of The Predator (2018) is army sniper Quinn McKenna, played by Boyd Holbrook. The predator 2018, directed by Shane Black, starts when Quinn sees a Predator ship crash and mails pieces of its armor home, and his profile is under quinn mckenna predator. His son Rory (Jacob Tremblay) receives the package, and government agent Will Traeger (Sterling K. Brown) detains Quinn. Olivia Munn plays Casey Brackett. The film has two Predators, one credited to Brian A. Prince and a much larger one that arrives later.

The lead of Prey is Naru, a young Comanche healer played by Amber Midthunder who wants to be accepted as a hunter. Prey predator, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, is set in 1719 on the Great Plains, and the naru prey page covers her. Her brother Taabe (Dakota Beavers) kills the mountain lion that attacks a hunting party, which makes him war chief. Michelle Thrush plays Aruka and Julian Black Antelope plays Chief Kehetu. Raphael (Bennett Taylor) is one of the French fur trappers she meets, and the Predator is played by Dane DiLiegro, who stands 6 ft 9, according to Den of Geek.

The characters in Predator: Killer of Killers are three warriors from different eras who end up on the same Predator ship. Predator killer of killers, an animated anthology also directed by Dan Trachtenberg, tells three stories and then combines them. Ursa (voiced by Lindsay LaVanchy) is a Viking warrior in the year 841 who leads a revenge raid with her son Anders (Damien C. Haas). In 1609 Japan the brothers Kenji and Kiyoshi, both voiced by Louis Ozawa, fight over their warlord father's succession. In 1942 John Torres (Rick Gonzalez) is a mechanic drafted into the US Navy under Captain Vandy (Michael Biehn). Britton Watkins voices the Warlord Predator, called the Grendel King.

The lead of Predator: Badlands is Dek, a young Yautja played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi. Predator badlands, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, makes him the runt of his clan, and the dek predator badlands page covers him. He travels to the planet Genna to hunt the Kalisk, a creature no hunter has beaten. Thia and Tessa, both played by Elle Fanning, are synthetics made by the Weyland-Yutani corporation. Bud (Ravi Narayan) is a young Kalisk, Dek's father is played in suit by Reuben De Jong, and Kwei is played in suit by Michael Homick and voiced by Stefan Grube.

Most Predators have no name at all, because the credits give them a role such as The Predator or Predator. The exceptions are Scar in AVP, the Tracker, Berserker and Falconer Predators in Predators, the Grendel King in Killer of Killers, and Dek in Badlands. In release order, the hunters are the 1987 jungle hunter, the 1990 Los Angeles hunter, Scar in 2004, the veteran Predator of 2007, the Tracker, Berserker and Falconer of 2010, the two hunters of 2018, the Prey hunter of 2022 and the Grendel King and Dek in 2025. That is why a list of the ten top Predators depends on taste rather than on any official roster, and opinion lives on the predator movies ranked page.

For full billing and crew, the predator cast page lists every credited actor, and the predator timeline places each character in story order. Nothing is dated yet for a new film, so the new predator movie page tracks what has been reported since the Badlands ending teased Dek's mother. Every film also has its own page on the predator movies hub.
