Austin Powers 4 Trailer: Status and Every Film Trailer

No official Austin Powers 4 trailer exists, because no studio has put the film into production. The only confirmed development is a single answer from Mike Myers: on June 16, 2026, a fan asked on Trevor Noah's World Cup Watch Party whether Austin Powers 4 will happen, and Myers said "Yes" (NME). He gave no details on timing, story, cast, crew or studio.

That matters if you are searching for a preview, because videos titled "Austin Powers 4 Official Trailer" turn up in search results. With no greenlight, no filming and no announced distributor, a clip with that title cannot be an official studio release, and the top YouTube result for it looks unofficial. Think of a restaurant menu posted before the kitchen has been built: the dishes might sound right, but nobody is cooking yet. For the current status, dates and any sourced rumors, the austin powers 4 page tracks every change.

Nobody can say, because there is no release date in any region. A first trailer normally follows a production start and a distributor's marketing plan, and neither has been reported. Myers gave no date, director, cast or studio when he said yes. Until one of those comes from a studio or a trade paper, any trailer date is a guess.

The three released films are the only Austin Powers titles with official marketing: Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002), all directed by Jay Roach and all starring Mike Myers. We link a trailer only when it is confirmed as posted on an official studio YouTube channel. No film has a verified link yet, so we point to no re-uploads.

That includes the Spy Who Shagged Me official trailer. The Spy Who Shagged Me is also the sequel that introduced Mini-Me, played by Verne Troyer, and brought in Rob Lowe as Young Number Two. Seth Green plays Scott Evil, Dr. Evil's son, in all three films. The series parodies the James Bond films, which is why the original trailers are worth tracking down once an official upload exists.

The three films give a clear picture of what a trailer for this series is selling, and the budgets show how that changed. International Man of Mystery cost $16.5 million and earned $67.7 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. Production accounts collected by The A.V. Club describe effects that look cheap because of that budget, a low key premiere at Mann's Chinese Theater and poor test screenings, so the first film was sold on its characters and not on spectacle.

The sequel is the turning point. The Spy Who Shagged Me had a $33 million budget and reached $313.7 million worldwide, and in my opinion that is the film whose trailer set the pattern: Myers in several roles, a new sidekick in Mini-Me and a 1969 setting. Goldmember spent $63 million and finished at $296.9 million worldwide, so it cost nearly double and earned a little less. It added Michael Caine as Nigel Powers and Beyoncé as Foxxy Cleopatra, and its title drew an objection from MGM and Danjaq that was later settled, per UPI.

There is one more detail a trailer editor would care about. Director Jay Roach told Collider that the first film's opening and a therapy scene were changed, and that Myers improvised as Dr. Evil. It could be argued that this is the template for any new trailer: lead with Dr. Evil, since Myers has said the film would lean on him, though that comes only from search summaries and counts as unconfirmed.

A trailer for a film with no confirmed cast cannot show a real cast, and one for a film with no described story cannot show a story, because Myers has not described one. In my opinion, the most useful preview of Austin Powers 4 right now is the series itself. Austin Powers movies in order lays out the sequence, and Austin Powers International Man of Mystery is the starting point for newcomers.
