Where to Watch IT: Streaming Guide for the US, UK and Australia

You can watch both IT movies on a subscription service in the US, the UK and Australia, and HBO Max is the one service that carries both films in all three countries. The two films are It (2017) and It Chapter Two, both directed by Andy Muschietti, and the listings here were checked on 3 November 2026 using JustWatch data through TMDB. Streaming catalogs change often, so a film that sits on one service today can move next month.

If you are wondering what order to press play in, the guide to IT movies in order covers it. The two films run 135 minutes and 169 minutes, so a double bill is about five hours (roughly a long Sunday and a pot of coffee). For the full set of films, start at the IT movies hub.

In the US, It (2017) streams on HBO Max and AMC, while It Chapter Two streams on HBO Max and through the HBO Max Amazon Channel. Neither film is on Netflix in the US, and Amazon Video offers both only as a rental or purchase.

In the UK, both films stream on HBO Max, the HBO Max Amazon Channel and Now TV Cinema, and It Chapter Two is also on Netflix, including the Netflix Standard with Ads tier. It (2017) is not on Netflix in the UK, so a viewer who finds the sequel there still needs another service for the first film.

In Australia, both films stream on Netflix, Netflix Standard with Ads, HBO Max and the HBO Max Amazon Channel, which makes it the simplest of the three markets for a back to back viewing. The same four subscription options apply to It (2017) and It Chapter Two, so the pair never has to be split across services.

Netflix carries both films in Australia and It Chapter Two in the UK, but neither film is on Netflix in the US. JustWatch lists neither film as free to stream in any of the three countries. Plex appears in the US list as a rental, not a free option, so treat any "free" link with suspicion until the price on screen says otherwise.

If you already pay for HBO Max you are covered in all three countries, and Australian viewers with Netflix can skip a new subscription entirely. UK viewers who only have Netflix can watch It Chapter Two but would need a rental or purchase for the 2017 film, which is awkward given that the sequel leans on what you learned about the Losers Club in the first. US viewers without HBO Max or AMC are looking at a rental from Apple TV, Amazon Video, Google Play Movies, YouTube or Fandango at Home. Before you commit, keep the rating in mind: both films carry an R in the US, a 15 in the UK and an MA15+ in Australia.

Once you have watched both, the IT box office page shows how they performed, and the IT cast page lists who played the Losers Club as children and as adults. For what comes after, see the next IT film, where the status of a possible third film is tracked.
