Scott Evil: Dr. Evil's Son in Austin Powers
Scott Evil is Dr. Evil's teenage son in the Austin Powers trilogy, played by Seth Green in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002). He starts out wanting nothing to do with his father's villain business, and the three films follow how that changes.
Who Plays Scott Evil?
Who Is Scott Evil?
Scott Evil is the son of Dr. Evil, the scheming supervillain played by Mike Myers, and he is credited as Scott Evil in all three Austin Powers films. He first appears in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), directed by Jay Roach, as a teenager when his father is thawed out of cryogenic sleep in 1997.
Seth Green plays him in every film, billed sixth in the first two and third in Goldmember. Roach directed all three, so the same filmmaker shapes the character from start to finish.
The films are a running parody of the spy genre, and the Austin Powers Bond parody page shows how they poke at the James Bond series. Inside that world, Scott is the family member who does not play along. His father wants a proper evil dynasty, with a lair, a plan and a demand for $100 billion, while Scott wants nothing to do with him.
How old is he? No film or studio source gives Scott an exact age. The first film makes him a teenager in 1997, and that is as precise as the series gets.

Scott Evil's Story Across the Three FilmsSpoilers
Scott's story runs from rejecting his father in the first film to vowing revenge, bald, at the end of the third.
In International Man of Mystery, Dr. Evil is revived in 1997 and discovers that his old schemes have already happened without him and that Number Two has turned Virtucon into a legitimate corporation. He then meets his teenage son Scott, who rejects him outright.
In The Spy Who Shagged Me, Dr. Evil returns from a long stay in space and is reunited with Scott. He also acquires a miniature clone of himself, Mini-Me. Dr. Evil then travels to 1969 to steal Austin's mojo, and the story follows Austin to the past and on to Dr. Evil's base on the Moon.
In Austin Powers in Goldmember, the chase reaches Tokyo, where the command unit for the tractor beam is being moved. Scott kills one of the villain's associates there. Mini-Me switches sides to help Austin, and the story then reveals that Austin and Dr. Evil are brothers.
Scott Evil's Family and Allies
Scott's key relationships are with his father Dr. Evil, Mini-Me, the miniature clone his father acquires, and, after the third film's reveal, his uncle Austin Powers.
His bond with Dr. Evil drives every scene they share. Dr. Evil is played by Mike Myers, who also plays the hero, so the father and the family enemy come from the same performer.
Mini-Me arrives in the second film as a miniature clone of Dr. Evil. In Goldmember he switches sides and helps Austin.
Goldmember reveals that Austin and Dr. Evil are brothers and that Dr. Evil's real name is Doug. That makes Scott the nephew of Austin Powers.
Around them sit Frau Farbissina, played by Mindy Sterling, and Number Two, played by Robert Wagner, both billed in all three films.
What Happens to Scott Evil?Spoilers
Scott Evil is alive at the end of Goldmember, bald and vowing revenge.
After Austin and Doug reverse the tractor beam's polarity and destroy the meteor, Goldmember is arrested. The story is then shown being adapted into a film within the film called Austinpussy, and Scott, now bald, vows revenge in the closing moments.
The vow is where the three films leave him. Reports from June 2026 say Mike Myers has agreed to a fourth film, but no release date, director, cast or studio has been announced. Whether Scott returns is therefore unconfirmed. Status updates are on the Austin Powers 4 page.
Scott Evil's Best Moments
In my opinion, Scott's best scenes are the ones where he refuses to go along with his father, and the series gives him three clear showcases.
The first is his rejection of Dr. Evil in International Man of Mystery. The villain has thawed out into a world that has moved on, and even his own son wants no part of him. It also gives Seth Green a clear counterweight to Mike Myers playing the father at full volume.
The second is the reunion in The Spy Who Shagged Me. Scott meets a father who now has a miniature clone, and it could be argued that this reunion is the film's funniest family moment.
The third is the Tokyo sequence in Goldmember, where Scott kills an associate of the villain. The bald vow of revenge at the end of the film is the last we see of him. For readers new to the saga, the Austin Powers movies in order guide shows where each of these scenes sits.
