Maze Runner Merchandise: Shirts, Collectibles and Soundtrack

Maze Runner merchandise is built around three films released in 2014, 2015 and 2018, so apparel and collectibles tend to follow the characters, with the Death Cure soundtrack album as the one official music release. Thomas, Newt, Minho and Gally are the names to search first.

What Maze Runner Merchandise Is Out There?

Maze Runner merchandise falls into four groups: apparel, collectibles, posters and prints, and music or home media. All of it traces back to three films directed by Wes Ball: The Maze Runner (2014), Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) and Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018). Three films give makers a short list of subjects, and that shapes what you will find in a shop.

Why does the same imagery keep turning up? Because the series offers a limited set of images: the stone walls of the Glade, the gates that open into the maze, the Runner role and the faces of the main Gladers. So, if you search for Maze Runner merch and see the same motifs in different shops, that is the series itself rather than a lack of choice.

The characters do most of the work. Thomas, played by Dylan O'Brien, leads all three films. Newt, played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Minho, played by Ki Hong Lee, are his two closest allies. Gally, played by Will Poulter, appears in the first film and, in The Death Cure, turns up after the others thought he was dead and helps them get inside the Last City. If you want Newt merchandise in particular, the Newt character page explains his role across the series, and the full list of Maze Runner characters shows who else might appear on a shirt or a collectible.

Licensing and stock change often, so confirm with the seller that an item is officially licensed before you buy. A new film could shift the picture, although the next Maze Runner project has no confirmed release date.

Which Maze Runner Merch Categories Are Worth Browsing?

The most useful way to shop for Maze Runner merchandise is by category, then by character. In my opinion, the strongest categories are apparel, collectibles and the soundtrack, because they connect most clearly to what the films actually show.

Shirts and apparel. Maze Runner shirts and clothing can draw on two ideas: the Glade and its walls, or an individual character. A Runner themed design makes sense for this series, since the Runners are the boys who map the maze each day looking for an exit. WCKD is the other obvious subject: the Scorch Trials names it as the group behind the maze, and by The Death Cure it is experimenting on young people who are immune to the Flare virus. If you want something less obvious than a face on a shirt, the Glade and maze motifs depend less on a single actor's likeness.

Collectibles. The four names to look for are Thomas, Newt, Minho and Gally. Teresa is part of the group from the first film and has her own Teresa character page, while Brenda and Jorge first appear in The Scorch Trials and are explained on the Brenda page and the Jorge page. Check the seller's listing before buying, because an item sold under a similar name may not be a licensed product.

Posters and prints. Poster art is where the settings matter. The Glade is a grassy farm area ringed by stone walls, the Scorch is a ruined desert and the Last City is WCKD's guarded home base, so each film gives a different look. The Glade was built as a physical farm set in St. Francisville, Louisiana, which is a useful detail if you prefer images of the first film's world.

Music and home media. The Death Cure has an official soundtrack album, The Maze Runner: The Death Cure (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), composed by John Paesano with 22 tracks, released worldwide on January 26, 2018. Paesano scored all three films. For the films themselves, each one is available to rent or buy digitally in the US, and our where to watch Maze Runner page shows current services by country.

Will a new film bring new items? The next Maze Runner project is in development at 20th Century Studios, according to TheWrap (May 3, 2024), with no release date given. Wes Ball is attached as a producer rather than director. Until a date and a cast are confirmed, there is nothing official to buy that is tied to a new film, so any listing claiming otherwise should be treated with caution. The new Maze Runner movie page tracks the status.

Before buying, it helps to know the series order, so the designs make sense. Our Maze Runner movies in order guide lays this out, and the Maze Runner movies hub links to every film and spoke.
